First, you need to change the status of the system proxy to "Set system proxy", and then there are two ways to start it.

The first method: Left-click so the status bar turns gray, then press the enter key on the keyboard to connect.

The second method: Or right-click and select “Set as an active server (Enter)”.

If the icon of v2rayN turns red, it indicates that you have enabled the proxy mode.

If you are in Iran, I do not recommend using a whitelist for routing, as the whitelist is specifically designed for the Chinese environment. It would be better to use Global, or to edit and set your own rules. Additionally, I do not recommend using Vmess in Iran anymore, as the Vmess protocol can no longer pass the censorship of the Great Firewall in both China and Iran.
