• I worked towards a "clean install" story of the nfs-server-provisioner helm sub-chart: Use nfs-server-provisioner subchart in support infrastructure#613

Challenges I faced and things I'd like assistance with 🙏

• Deploying an NFS server in a k8s cluster is raising some discussion points that I don't feel technically sure-footed enough to drive. Input into the following discussions/questions is greatly appreciated:
  • Use nfs-server-provisioner subchart in support infrastructure#613 (review)
  • Add config and deploy Pangeo staging hub infrastructure#597 (comment)

My availability for next week

• I will be 100% on Monday and Tuesday
• Wednesday is likely to be disrupted as I make last minute preparations
• From Thursday 26th August to Thursday 2nd September I will be on holiday (noted in the Team Leave calendar)
• While I will be back online on Friday 3rd September, I don't expect to get much done beyond catching up with emails and Slack 😉

• Blog post part 1 about MyST is ready (to be published in the next few hours): Blog post part 1 about MyST and Nikola damianavila/blog#4
• Helped @fperez to gather some specific information from the AWS Cost Management tool
• Good progress on the blog post part 2 about MyST: Create content for a blog post for the section "Myst support for roles and directives" upstream#34
  • We would need a part 3 to not get people bored about a looooooong post!
• Researched into nbsphinx CSS issue with the PyData Sphinx Theme
  • Updated the issue with my fix proposal: NBsphinx spacing after code cell pydata/pydata-sphinx-theme#323 (comment)

• 24 hs is not enough hours per day 😜

• I fixed a couple of support bugs last week! We are back to "inbox zero" in FreshDesk 🙃
• I collaborated with @yuvipanda and @damianavila around some merging policy stuff
• I worked some more on our fiscal sponsorship transition, and am prepping for trying out some new invoicing!

• I mostly just want everybody to keep trying out the new team workflow, and providing feedback and comments about ways that we can improve! I appreciate all of the patience everybody has with this!

Updates from last week ✔

• Picked up Fix in-notebook config for culling kernels infrastructure#518 again (before sprint planning meeting)
• Fixed a bug introduced when making nbgitpuller compatible with jupyter-server: Use addon instead of term when calling fit and import xterm css jupyterhub/nbgitpuller#197
• Started working towards Automate building and pushing images for users with repo2docker action infrastructure#630. I tried documenting pushing to aws ecr first and created https://github.com/GeorgianaElena/test-repo2docker-action to try it out, but unfortunately got stuck (see Use cloud provider registries for user images instead of quay.io infrastructure#626 (comment))

Challenges I faced and things I'd like assistance with 🙏

• It took some time to realize that the reason why the nbgitpuller terminal resizing looked funny was because of missing to import an xterm styling file 🤦
• I would love it if I could get some thoughts about Use cloud provider registries for user images instead of quay.io infrastructure#626 (comment). I feel like I've tried everything yesterday :|

• Campus starts this week at UC Berkeley, so I'll have to focus on that consistently throughout the week a little
