4.55 Updater #42
Comments
Added in really big letters on the release to look here. I'm going to test if I set the version to 9.99 if it'll use that vs an already downloaded 5.05 tomorrow. |
my system downloaded the darned 5.05 firmware now evertime i power on it asks if i wish to install! Can't wait for a fix to upgrade to 4.55 ! I know your busy, thanks for all your hard work and dedication. |
Tested your version 99.99 workaround. Didn't work as expected but it does the trick! Downloading Version 99.99 worked with your latest changes but installation resulted in error SU-35942-3. Possible shortcut - maybe someone else can test it: |
Thanks for the feedback. So I can delete downloaded updates, but it won't install if the version is set to 99.99. I'll have to do some more testing but I may end up setting one DNS to 99.99 to delete updates (Or for those that don't want to update) and the other to 4.55. Then add an option to the local host to have an easy switch for users. |
Hello |
You can't. Don't post unrelated questions. |
4.50 PS4 had the DNS settings set correctly to run non-locally and updated to whatever firmware was on the HDD. "View details" button before update did not show the usual Sony page.
Please leave a disclaimer or something about firmware on the HDD if this was supposed to happen. I wouldn't want anybody else to lose their opportunity for this exploit.
