Possible Fixes

Yes

Modpack Version

2.31

What happened?

I had just made an AE2 pattern to convert Coal into Coal Dust, but I needed to convert that pattern into an advanced pattern, so I right-clicked the Advanced Pattern Encoder to open its UI, and as soon as I inserted the Pattern, that is when the client crashed. I play on a local server which is also running version 2.31 with no other added mods, but the server was unaffected. The only thing the server terminal said was:

[09:09:27] [Netty Epoll Server IO #2/ERROR] [minecraft/Connection]: Exception caught in connection"
io.netty.channel.unix.Errors$NativeIoException: recvAddress(..) failed: Connection reset by peer

Not knowing it this was a one-off hiccup, I relaunched my client and reconnected to the server with no problem. The Advanced Pattern Encoder was still in my hand, but the pattern that I was trying to upgrade was not in my inventory. Assuming that the pattern was inside the Advanced Pattern Encoder, I right-clicked with the Advanced Pattern Encoder and the client crashed again immediately. The server remained unaffected.

Update AdvancedAE manually to fix this for now

Replaced AdvancedAE-1.2.2-1.21.1.jar with AdvancedAE-1.2.3-1.21.1.jar, and I am confirming that updating AdvancedAE to the most current version at the time of this post fixes the problem. Thanks.
