[Bug]: Can't make rainbow coal

What happened?

I simply can't make Rainbow Coal, I've tried TNT under the Rainbow Furnace, in front of it, behind it, to the sides... All to no avail. I've even lost several furnaces blowing them up in item form.

Had same issue, 2 things to get it to work, have to complete all the linked quests first, and you can't do it in a claimed or protected chunk.

I have completed all linked quests, and I'm not doing it in claimed or protected chunks (indeed I've made a bit of a mess of the area I've been trying in).

I was able to do it if I take damage from the explosion, don't know if that is the intended behavior.

I had to move really far away from my claimed chunks and it took several explosions but I was able to get it to work regardless of quest progress I'd suggest putting the tnt block to the side of it before exploding as well
