Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
In previous versions of AO, the client was able to be resized to be smaller with little issues, but also can be resized past the size of the theme itself, thus showing an obvious white background. It could be fixed via resizing the window a couple of times, but due to the latter's unsightly nature and the various bug reports about it, it was removed.
It was convenient for having multiple clients across a large amount of areas without having to worry about the size of the client itself, without having to change into an entirely different theme for every other client if you planned on having just one or two clients you intended on using normally.
Describe the solution you'd like
Bring back a version of the feature, but make it so that you cannot extend past the maximum theme size. That way, people won't complain about a white void that does nothing, and brings back a genuinely useful feature for some users.
I've seen talk about re-building some stuff from the ground up to allow for much cleaner code, so I'd be keen to know if this feature becomes a possibility once more, in whatever form it takes.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Besides reverting back to the prior behavior, I do not see many options.
