Smile Sage Community Code of Conduct

As contributors and maintainers of the Smile Sage project, we pledge to foster an open, welcoming, and inclusive community. We are committed to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

Our Standards

We aim to create a positive and respectful environment where everyone feels safe to participate and contribute. As part of this commitment, we expect all members of our community to follow these guidelines:

  1. Be Kind and Respectful: Treat others with kindness, respect, and empathy. Be considerate of diverse perspectives and experiences.

  2. Be Inclusive: Welcome people of all backgrounds and identities. Make sure everyone feels valued and included in discussions and activities.

  3. Be Patient and Understanding: Recognize that people have varying skill levels and experiences. Be patient and supportive in your interactions.

  4. Be Collaborative: Encourage and support each other's ideas. Work together to achieve common goals.

  5. Be Mindful of Your Language: Use inclusive language and avoid offensive or harassing comments.

  6. Respect Boundaries: Be mindful of personal boundaries and consent. Avoid unwelcome advances or inappropriate behavior.

  7. Resolve Disagreements Constructively: If conflicts arise, seek to understand different perspectives and work towards solutions that benefit the community as a whole.

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are considered unacceptable within our community:

  • Harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind.
  • Offensive or derogatory comments.
  • Sexualized language or imagery.
  • Deliberate intimidation or threats.
  • Disruptive or harmful behavior during discussions or events.
  • Any other conduct that violates the principles of this Code of Conduct or the rights of others.

Reporting Incidents

If you experience or witness any behavior that violates our Code of Conduct, please report it promptly.

All reports will be treated with confidentiality and will be addressed in a timely and fair manner.

Enforcement

Project maintainers are responsible for enforcing the Code of Conduct. If a participant engages in behavior deemed inappropriate, maintainers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender, temporary or permanent expulsion from the community, or other actions.
