Mimo: Decentralized Online Profiles

Hi I'm Ghilia Weldesselasie. I've been in the blockchain space since May 2017 and I'm currently working on Mimo, an identity layer built on ENS.

Overview

Mimo is a standard that enables the creation and use of decentralized online profiles. The standard aims to build a common informational interface by which social networks, games and other Dapps can host user experiences on their services without hosting or owning user information.

Vision

We envision a future in which apps are sorely focused on the UX of their apps and crafting the best experience and where users can switch to any apps they like while sill maintaining their following and profile info.

I'm currently looking for a talented designer interested in working on identity in the blockchain space.

@YalorMewn Do I have to regularly commit to it or can I commit changes to that repo every now and then? I'd prefer to update my repo more frequently and every 2 weeks or so update the new one.

I think however you want to manage the repo is fine @ghiliweld I would keep an eye on these dates though as we are planning to fund bounties as we go:

• Aug 21st (First code review, bounty assignment, feedback, open team call)

• Sept 18th (Third code review bounty funding, feedback, open team call)
• Oct 2nd (Fourth code review bounty funding, feedback, open team call)

Hey @ghilliweld, this sounds like something quite similar to what Aragon's working on for identity, as well as BrightID's extension with web of trust profiles.

Both are meant to be quite generic—initially, our first profiles will likely just save data as TXT records to a person's ENS resolver, conforming to the schema.org/Person spec.
