Incorrect behaviour observed:
Brand new Canute has been on for some minutes. Some pages have been cycled through. Power switch at the back is hit to turn it off. Runs hard reset then sits their blank, with all lines up. When press power switch again it restarts the Canute rather than turning it off, meaning it was presumably turned off the previous time, but this didn't cause the correct shutdown behaviour.
Expected behaviour:
Regardless of what the user has done or how much time has passed when the user presses the power switch it should turn off, firstly presenting a Braille message to the effect of 'please wait', followed by all Braille lines down. If the UI wants to run a hard reset either before or after the message it can do so, so long as the message is shown and then the lines go down.
Likely cause:
When the Canute reaches its ideal internal temperature (usually after 3--30 minutes, depending on usage and ambient temperature) it wait for a user button press (e.g. 'foward page'), then runs a hard reset to clear any dot errors caused by cold start. In this case It would seem that if the first user button press after correct internal temperature is reached is the shut down command then it messes with the order of things.
