Request: Improve code editor integration

The code editor is currently only used when the configuration file is generated. At this moment, commands are only able to be typed with raw text.

Describe the solution you'd like

The code editor should be utilized for editing command input.

Teachability, documentation, adoption, migration strategy

A link to commands would need to be added to the code editor documentation.

What is the motivation / use case for changing the behavior?

Provide the user with syntax highlighting of their choice when editing commands!
