Use editing tools debug and understand ... visual DIFFing and acyclic digraphing help to communicate where logic goes astray ... great editing is all about experience and mastery of diffing ... it's not JUST visual -- it's really about WORK and if you don't love the work, you shouldn't be doing it.

DiFF for the lifestyle, not the money?

Well, perhaps that's sort of true ... it's important to just keep working at it and to understand that you should love the work [or move on to something that you cannot live without it] in order to master it.

Complex ecosystems are robust ... they can live without you ... it's up to you -- can you live without complex systems...find the kinds of things that you can't live without.

It's highly likely ... maybe not certain, but very likely that you will need to get good at DIFFing ... understand distinctions, nuances AND things that don't matter ... what will work, what will work better and when to quit polishing
