Unfortunatly there is no mass flow rate source yet, altough quite some models use it indirectly adapting the pressure in a control loop, see e.g. ThermofluidStream.Undirected.HeatExchangers.Tests.

In my experience, from several different tools, mass flow sources and sinks easily lead to non-physical behavior, such as pressures close to (or below) zero, but that pressure sources with a control loop rarely gives the same problem. Depending on the size of the model and your awareness of the potential problem, this can be a hard error to spot.
