Engineering Project Ideas for Academy

Now that MVP has shipped, what is next?

We have a range of dev opportunities, including:

• smaller instant-gratification tasks for getting your feet wet
• medium size stories if you want to build something but don't have a lot of time
• full epics which also require a lead and project management to define epic and break it down into stories

Instant Gratification Tasks

• Clean up all the relative imports across site -- Next.js task: Move imports to nice path aliases #187

Stories

• Display Lesson Authors -- Add authors to Lessons and Fundamentals #145
• Move assets to a decentralized service -- Dev Team: Move all assets to decentralised service #175

Epics

• ✍️ Authoring and Content Workflow improvements (via engineering and/or integration with a service) -- working with the d_d-academy-content team to figure out needs. Improvements in creating, reviewing, approving and publishing content. Could include integrating with a Learning Management system (LMS) and Content Management System (CMS).
• 🏆 Move toward Proof of Competence system on blockchain -- Competency Matrix and Proof of Competence (Requirement Brainstorm) #66
• 🚗 Move toward a test-driven culture - Spearhead component testing initiative and drive test-driven approach when creating new components
