Here's the stuff that needs to happen before the training can be run again

  • Rewrite for GitHub
    • Remove all DevOps-specific content. E.g. replace pull request screenshots in the 'version-control' chapter
    • Rethink the solutions folder. Use one folder per week, and maybe use the README.md to highlight really good answers
  • Move version control chapter to beginning. Using email for the first few weeks was the worst.
  • Use Quarto instead of R Markdown
  • Rewrite data-wrangling chapter
  • Use proper placeholders for unfinished chapters
  • Add instructions for non-DfE organisations who want to use the training
  • Add instructions for people who want to edit the materials
    • Use issues/pull requests
    • Write code according to the tidyverse style guide
    • Only use public data
  • Add a NEWS.md file... ?
