Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
When viewing the "Access Contact Map" the only filtering option available is by Contact Status. I was unable to find any other map-like screen in the theme/site that allowed for more concise filtering.

Describe the solution you'd like
Akin to the Contacts List, and other list pages, it'd be nice if the map displays (for contacts, for groups) would allow for the same level of filtering. For example, if I want to only see contacts on the map that belong to a certain group. Or, if I'm viewing groups on the map, I only want to see groups with the "Bilingual" tags. Etc.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Because filtering, as described above, isn't available, I've considered hi-jacking the name fields to provide some sense of grouping of contacts. For example "John Doe (Group X)", "John Doe (Group Y)", but it would be highly inefficient. I'm a developer myself, so I also considering diving into the source and making a contribution, but I'd need to find the time.

Additional context
There is an issue for a time-based filter: #2068
But I created this ticket separately b/c the proposal is a much more robust filtering solution for maps.

Yes! We'd like to see this too!
Would you like to have a go at it?

@corsacca if I can find the time, certainly. right now, it doesn't seem likely for me, but let me know if someone else picks this up
