ACDC

ACDC is a simple python discord bot for managing ranks, created in a day. Commissioned.

Installation

  1. Create a bot on discord. Instructions here.

  2. Download and install python, if you don't already have it. You can get it here.

  3. Open terminal or command prompt (depending on your operating system) andcd into the directory (folder) you're planning on using.

  4. Clone (ie download) the code.

  5. Install the dependencies.

    1. You may need to install Visual C++ 14.0. Get it here here.
    pip install -r requirements.txt

  6. Edit config-template.json for your values, and rename it to config.json

  7. Run python3 main.py

  8. Invite the bot to your server with the following permissions:

    1. View channels
    2. Send Messages
    3. Read Message History
    4. Add Reactions

Usage

!rankup - send a message asking to be ranked up

!rank? <users> - send a message to get the rank of one or more mentioned users. If no users specified, gets your rank.

Pull requests are welcome. For major changes, please open an issue first to discuss what you would like to change.
