I realize I'm a few years late for this, but wanted to share my limited knowledge:

I don't believe this is possible, because a WUD is a "Wii U Disc" image--i.e. bytes from an actual physical medium. The process to convert is therefore "lossy" in the sense that the app files cannot recreate the WUD image.

I'm dredging up old info here as well, but I wonder if there's some way this could be achieved. Perhaps a rebuild file could be created alongside the orginal conversion that could be used to reassemble it.
