Which means that if it is then set by the env var supplied to the running container results in chaos.

Expanding on that - many of the sql templates are generated at build time and the generation specifies the db name, but not all the sql uses a generated template.

Proper solution is to take this stuff out of codegen (really not a lot of upside to generating template SELECT statements).
