Snowpack fails to compile Svelte Material UI dependency

hi all, i'm trying to solve a problem with a dependency (Svelte Material UI) and Snowpack. It seems that Snowpack is compiling the dependency differently than if I were just to use Webpack without Snowpack. (The same code using Webpack to run dev works as expected) Compiling with Snowpack throws a Svelte compiler error when running my app in dev. It's not making much sense to me why this would happen, the dependency should compile the same no matter if I use Snowpack or not.

Are there any options I can tweak or ways to debug an issue like this? I'm completely stumped, it's been blocking me for weeks.
