1. Buying a Server Hosting

This method involves choosing a hosting website and purchasing a server. Unless stated otherwise, these servers are usually 24/7.

Note: You will need to refer to the server installation guide in the Elysium Days wiki for the required server files.

2. Hosting a Server from Your PC

If you prefer to host a server on your own computer, check out this video tutorial for step-by-step instructions.

Important Points:

  • Your PC must remain powered on and the server running for your friends to join.
  • Closing your PC or shutting down the server will disconnect everyone.
  • Alternative: This can be avoided by buying a Virtual Private Server (VPS) and running the server there.

3. Using the E4MC Mod (Built-in Elysium Days)

This method allows you to host a server without port forwarding. Simply:

  1. Open the ESC menu in Minecraft.
  2. Click "Open to LAN" to start the server.
  3. An IP address will be displayed in the chat; share this with your friends.

Key Notes:

  • Your friends can only join while you're online.
  • Requires everyone to have an original Minecraft account.

4. Using the Cloudflared Mod

If you're experiencing connection issues with E4MC (as of 24.01.2025), the Cloudflared mod is an excellent alternative. This mod also allows you to host a server without port forwarding. Simply:

  1. Disable the E4MC mod, which is included in Elysium Days by default.
  2. Open the ESC menu in Minecraft.
  3. Click "Open to LAN" to start the server.
  4. An IP address will be displayed in the chat; share this with your friends.

This approach is straightforward and requires no additional setup beyond disabling E4MC.
