Your Proposal

My proposal is to add a recipe for Amethyst to the EBF that corresponds to the several PBF recipes.

Your Goal

Getting amethyst is required for crafting circuit imprints before the Prasiolite can be mined directly. This recipe uses MV power and Cupronickel coils so can be accessed as soon as the EBF is available. Additionally, instead of having to rely on small ores for amethyst, there exists a series of recipes in the PBF to turn 40 quartzite into 10 amethyst, and are relatively speedy by PBF terms. It feels very odd to have this recipe tied exclusively to the PBF when similar blast furnace recipes have a corresponding recipe in the EBF, usually using carbon dust instead of charcoal.

Your Vision

Having a player in LuV needing amethyst, and unless they already had a decent amount, (and assuming they have plenty of quartzite to spare by that point), having the best option being to dust off a steam tier machine for the first time in several hundred hours feels odd and disjointed. Adding a recipe with carbon dust or something similar to the EBF makes more sense than relying on a notoriously difficult to automate and slow multiblock.

Final Checklist

  • I have searched this issue tracker and there is nothing similar already. Posting on a closed issue saying I like this change please reconsider adding it will prompt us to investigate and reopen it once we confirm your report.
  • I understand this change request may not attract enough attention and thus not be implemented.
  • I understand this change request may be rejected due to other community members think it's inappropriate.
  • I believe this feature would make the pack better.
