Checked his logs and it says that version is outdated, though we have the same and latest World Host version (mc is 1.20.4 both)
How can we fix this?

Whose log is this? Yours or your friend's? Having both logs would be useful.

I fixed it, but we have another issue. My friend tried connecting and his game crashed. It's a different version, but we have the same modpack
