GNR fails with × before species epithet #111

Submitting Picea × lutzii Little or Salix × sepulcralis Simonk. to either the web form or the API causes a "We're sorry, but something went wrong." failure. It's not the × character itself, because, e.g., Salix nigra × sepulcralis Simonk. passes. Something about the position of the hybrid mark before the species epithet.

(BTW GNR is an amazing tool. Helping hugely on the Flora of Alaska project. Thanks!)

I just noticed this is a duplicate of: #107, and GlobalNamesArchitecture/gni#55. I guess it is still not fixed yet. Thx.

Odd. Geum × macranthum (Kearney) B.Boivin does not crash the search.

Glad to see this thread. I've run into the same problem with Photinia X fraser and Citrus x limon
