Broken links in upgrade docs

I want to upgrade from 4.1 to 5.0, meanwhile, upgrade hugo from 0.5 to 0.7, i check this doc, some links become broken, is there any update for them?

I don't think you can rely on any automation if you want to upgrade from v4.1! There's simply too many changes.
You'll have to go through the docs, and implement the breaking change manually: https://wowchemy.com/updates/v5.0.0/
One thing I can say is that the current beta of v5.0 requires Hugo v0.78.0 or newer.

@chrede88 hi, i use layout dir and find if I delete theme dir, it would raise error:

partial "header.html" not found

My code:

Thanks for spotting a broken link @daixiang0 . The community scripts are at https://github.com/wowchemy/hugo-assistant . I'll fix the broken link.

As for your modified theme files, see https://wowchemy.com/docs/update/#troubleshooting :

If you overrided any Wowchemy/Academic files (by using Hugo’s inheritance principle), then these may cause conflicts after updating. Consider removing them or checking if the original file(s) that you are overriding have changed in any way and require syncing with your custom version of the file(s).

@gcushen hi, i notice that after upgrade, there is not theme dir any more, and I use original header.html under academic theme.
