Printing dates/times on events page

Prior to 5.0 the talk/ page would print a list of all talks in reverse chronological order, including detailed dates and times for each talk entry. I recently updated to v5.0.0-beta1 and now the event/ page just prints a standard list of all posts in that folder with no specific rendering that these are events as opposed to talks. For example, this is the list of events for my course and the relevant folder in the repo. I noticed this formatting is also how events look on the example site.

Is there any way to utilize the previous list formatting so that the entries all include dates/times on the event/ page without having to click through to the individual event page?

You can insert line like this

{{ $date := slice (printf "%d %s %d" $page.Lastmod.Day $page.Lastmod.Month $page.Lastmod.Year) | append ((time #$page.Lastmod).Format site.Params.time_format) }}

into file layouts/partials/page_metadata.html
