The current way of content submission is a bit... sloppy and gruesome and needs a lot of review, especially for typos in variables etc.
Thus it would be very great to have a full mask with textfields and checkboxes for everything like HPs, Attributes, etc.
This way the player doesn't need to know every variable, also it would be easy to have a selection box for all possible variable possibilities for custom texts like %player %dict:deity etc. als clickable buttons which reduces typos and recurring masses of questions a lot.
Also you can enforce a "Preview" before submission.
On items it would also be possible to use the preview to sum up the itemstats to reflect the strength of an item to the player, so he knows how strong that item would be and for what levelrange it would be probably be used.

The way it is is the most flexible solution to allow for all forms of content submission; doing this would require a lot of tie-in with the server. Not to say it's not possible but we're just not there yet, that's why there's a lot of guides on it.
