To troubleshoot the issue, you could try running the flag in low-priority mode to see if that helps. Additionally, you can add processes to the exclusion list in case a specific process is causing the crash. However, it can be challenging to pinpoint the exact cause. You might also consider cleaning only certain memory areas instead of all of them, which could help identify the area causing the crash. WMC only utilizes native Windows functions, so the issue could potentially be a bug in your system or a driver. Updating Windows to the latest version and ensuring your device drivers are up to date is recommended. Lastly, checking the Windows Event Viewer may provide additional information about the crash. |

I have a thinkpad with an i7-6500 & 8GB RAM running Win10 usually with 5GB available. System runs fine and will run for weeks without need for reboot. I run Plex, NAV, MWB, Glasswire and Firefox. Most work and activity is done through a web browser.
However, when I run WinMemoryCleaner and leave it running in the tray, I have WMC set to automatically clean at less than 35-40%, run minimized and within an hour or two, the system will hard crash and just shut off, no warning, no dump file, nada.
Done plenty of testing with and without WMC running, it only happens when it's running. It's not a big deal, I just run it and then quit but it would be nice to be able to have it running in the background doing its thing automatically.
