Can you reproduce this bug in the website/PWA?

Yes

Describe the bug

USB Jabra Auto Pick Up and Notification Issue

What package are you using?

flatpak

Version

1.12.7

Reproduction steps

1. When you get a teams call, USB headsets (JABRA with Mic) will not pick up automatically. I have to for select it from settings. However, if I boot with USB headsets then it's fine.
2. Notifications not making a sound or not showing in Gnome center panel

Expected Behavior

1. When I get a call, and plug in the USB headsets, the app should switch to USB headsets automatically
2. When I get a message, app is not notifying on the gnome center panel or make a sound

Debug

teams-for-linux --webDebug --logConfig='{}'

Additional context

Hi thank you very much for supporting this awsome app. I have been using it since 4 years. For some reason, if I dont boot in with USB headsets (Jabra with mic) teams will not pick up the headsets automically. I have to force select it. Problem no 2: I use worspace on Fedora 41, I do not get notifications on gnome center pannel or sound for that matter.

Hi @rahulfedora , thanks for reporting.

Unfortunately, as this also happens on the website, you should better report it to Microsoft.

Regading the second issue, check the config options and see if the electron notificationMethod works better for you. Otherwise that is probably the open issue we got about notifications not working when the app is out of focus (but not closed)

I will close it as there is little we can do about the headsets if this is also happening in the browser.

Happy to re-open if that is not the case, but it could also be relelated to flatpak that, as snap, can be a bit temperamental for the different configurations.
