tex errors reported as line 1, column 1, always ... but not warnings! #3667

Sometime over the last few weeks I noticed that the VSCode LaTeX Workshop extension processes errors incorrectly. Every red-signed error is listed as occurring at line 1, column 1, whereas yellow-signed warnings are are the correct line and column. This means that I cannot click on errors to go to the spot where it occurred. "I haven't changed anything", as they say---at least not knowingly---but this started happening, rendering the error tracking almost useless. |
