I successfully rendered the model in the demo, but when it was replaced with my own obj model file, it could not be rendered. It was a point cloud obj file.

Very little information about where you're having the problem.Do you even get any error when trying to run the program?Also make sure the OBJ file is not corrupted.Make sure the OBJ file's path is directed correct and while loading your model, check if you wrote the name and extension of the OBJ file correct.There's some common issues about writing name and extension of the model you're loading.
