Top MIP :

1 step lower :

I tested this with latest TEST version you sent me. Not sure if it still exists in the current WIP version ?

You think that's an alpha merging into RGB or just incorrectly loaded? Looks like it could be either way.
Either way, it's on the list for when I get back into coding again.

Definitely alpha merging into RGB. I checked in Photoshop, the MIPs look the same.

Just got back to this and missed this one.
Can you provide a test image? FIRST though, test the newest version (4.2)

Tested with 4.2, no difference. Thanks for fixing the other issues, though ! Try converting this to DXT1, removing the alpha.

Another issue seems to happen with the preview. Although IE is here set to remove the alpha, the preview still shows a flattened RGBA.

Side note : I've noticed very brief bright red popups when saving or loading textures. Those messages only appear for split seconds, it's almost subliminal. I think it would be best to remove them, it's distracting and probably not good for the eyes :).

OK So I tested with the texture you gave me, and the black mips below the top one are supposed to be there apparently. Who knows why.
I also can't replicate the preview thing you've got there, but I can see a thing in the top right corner of the save preview. Looks like it's showing one of those black lower mips for some reason...

Supposed to be there ? But it will look bad in-game, so it can't be right ?

I have no idea why it would be the way it is, but I checked in all the tools I know of and they're black except for the top right corner.

Looks like that's my bad, I uploaded the already flattened texture. Here is the texture extracted directly from the vanilla game. I checked converting to DXT1 using Nvidia's plugin, it works fine.
