Claim sites feature is not working

The claim sites feature isn't working as expected. When I select a site and click "Update claimed sites" I get a message that says "Claimed sites updated." but nothing happens. I don't see anything showing up in the logs which would help. Here is the corresponding log entry when I click the "Update claimed sites" button:

"POST /editSite.php?projectid=9 HTTP/1.1" 200 3073

I'm using the CDash "latest" tag. The corresponding commit is 5893da0.

I'm planning to move the "claim site" functionality to the site information page (/sites/<id>) as an extension of the refactor tracked in #1984. Currently targeting CDash 3.8 (February 2025) for this work.
