When I hit play, the first beat is quieter than the rest.
This was a problem when I was using it for drumming rehearsal today. Often we say "8 and you're in". But the stuff first beat made it confusing whether the 8 counts started on beat 1 or 2. So I had to start counting them in.
It is consistently doing this every time. It behaves like this with and without the "emphasize first beat" setting turned on.

Did you use the device speakers or headphones?
I might observed the same behaviour but only when I use the device speakers. When I use headphone I think I dont have a quieter start.
The app definetly writes the same audio data with the same volume during the start to the audio stream as during the other time. So I am wondering if this could be a behaviour of the Android sound system itself that I cannot influence.
I cannot reproduce the issue anymore. And I also cannot find any hint online that this is a common problem and what could cause it. I hope I will stumble upon an explanation at some future time.
