The children's nigh-shift

Event-type: Ship function Conditions:

  1. Event has not happened in the last 10 years.
  2. There is a clique (friend group) of 4 or more child-age crewmen.
  3. There must be a captain
  4. There must be at least one assigned crewman on the bridge

cast:
[The clique] A group of 4 or more children.
Must be only children in the group [leader], spokesperson of [The clique].
determined by highest socialization skill (then total skill, then age, if more then 1 match)
[captain] The captain of the ship
crewman assigned to the captain job
[bridge worker] A pilot working on the bridge
_determined by highest navigation skill. (Any match will do, or more than 1 match)

Note: cast is kept and stored for the chain

Story [captain], young [leader] has a proposition for you.
he/she wants his/her friends, [the clique] to have the night shift on the bridge.
[leader] says it will be be a great learning opportunity for them.

options

  1. Agree to give [the clique] the night shift
    Consequence: Activates the Children's night shift story chain. 1 of 3 outcomes is selected.
  2. Decline the request
    Consequence: [leader] gets upset with [captain].

Children's night shift: Broken promise

Event-type: chain event
conditions: Month 0 of event has ended, less then 4 of [the clique]'s members got assigned to the bridge. Story: [leader] storms into the [captain]'s office. Your promised you'd give us the night shift! I HATE YOU!

Consequence: [leader] is furious with [captain], and may develop a hostile relationship.
