Filtered notifications count on

Describe the bug
The notifications that are filtered by the user count on the notification tab, even if they don't show up. Sometimes I see, say, a count of 3 notifications, and when I check the tab there is only, say, 1. The other two could well be those filtered notifications.

To reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Filter some kind of notification, say Favorite
2. Get that action made, say, get a toot favorited
3. See how the counter goes up on the notification tab but you don't see those notifications for favorited
4. Reload the tab and the counter will reset

Does this happen in the official app?

Does this issue also occur with the respective upstream release?
