This is a kind of weird cosmetic issue: The playback time, especially when listening to music, is not a monospace font. Whenever the width of the text element does change, the controls in the center will move with it accordingly.
Imo the playback time elements width should not affect the layout of the controls or anything else down there when it is not absolutely necessary (i.e. a very long number) and do so without constantly chaning and redrawing the layout.
