Shuffle and Repeat #215
Comments
For the midi player itself, it's possible. Though you could probably whip something up real quick with shell scripting or something similar, randomise it and feed it to the wildmidi player one at a time. |
Fascinating because I couldn't find an option in the midi player to do either. And yes, I could whip something up in bash. No problem, but wouldn't that defeat the purpose of the program in question? |
The player was more to demo libwildmidi itself; to allow end users to see how they could implement it in their application. That being said, we're open to pull requests. :D |
owww. I see lol. Gotcha and will think of a solution, or post a shuffle solution once I get to it. Thanks, I didn't read the implementation part until you mentioned it and then saw it on the front page. (dumb me) |
It's very cool to meet a fellow old-school midi fan. ;)
Ja hoor, ik woon deeltijds in Gent. ;) Als jij wilt, kunnen wij een pintje gaan drinken. 😆 |
Having that out of the way. I've been using Wildmidi for a bit now and I truly enjoy it as one of the only actual working midi players out there. I have looked up on the internet for this question but I could not find an answer at all. (I was amused seeing Kabouter on the website, gnome in my language)
But my question is: will there be the options for Shuffle and Repeat?
I have a whole bunch, around 30K, midi files in different folders and at times I'm just in the mood for listening to midi files while gaming or looking for info on the internet. It would be fun to just throw a bunch in a shuffle and repeat loop and just let it play until I'm done with it.
