Multiple Port Support #916
Comments
The main issue behind this is there’s no dedicated IP into your server, so for specific things like dynmap it’d have to be a separate thing - and people already have votifier setups through the current system. |
@drtshock Ideas?
I see where you're thinking. Just like with any other host, It gives you another port on the IP that your server is currently assigned too as most hosts don't have dedi IPs without you buying one |
Each server/node/whatever can hand out 32767 ports, you could limit ports to like 4 per server (maybe more if you have a plan but I don't see who would need more than 4 ports), and then nodes can just spread out the weight, assigning a random port and then forwarding traffic to dynmap/votifier/whatever |
I do like that. I think 2 ports for free and 3 ports with any plan and then 1 port more could cost like 1000 credits or something. Knowing how technical MH is, they could setup something that forwards traffic |
true ig idk anyone who would need more than 4 ports as well |
