Give the default role only access to see announcements channels and the help channels, and also give access to see a specific channel that like explains how to use the discord and where to go or sum (idk if that would really work tbh) and then in # info put a react role that gives access to every other channel
How the feature is useful
this should get less people to go in general to ask for help which is incredibly annoying, most people only join the discord to ask for help and do so in the highest channel that they can talk in (that being gen chat) if they only see comhelp or support info then theyll probably ask in that (just a theory)
Maybe itll also lessen bots?

I have seen this suggested many times before, though not in an official git issue, but the main thing I've seen admins say about this is how small barriers for new user interactions can backfire.
That response was addressing the idea of not allowing any interaction until a new user reads and agrees to the Discord rules. This is much different, since it's not blocking the user from sending messages at all, but rather allowing them to send messages to the community help channels right away, instead being overwhelmed by 35+ different channels (not exaggerating) and one of three things happening:
a) they decide not to do anything ❌
b) they ask for support in the wrong channel, either by it not being clear where to ask or by being confused by the channels (e.g. "I should ask for help with in #plugin-dev") ❌
c) they ask for support in the correct channel ✅
I'd also like to mention the welcome screen for new users. Perhaps the support option should be moved to the top (and maybe display less options?), since that is the primary reason users join the Discord server.
I think this is a much-needed enhancement and it wouldn't block user interaction, but instead boost it. Channel misuse makes it more difficult for the person seeking support & is annoying for the other people using that channel, and this process would streamline and drastically improve the Discord support flow for new users.
