To reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

1. Go to '...'

2. Click on '....'

3. Scroll down to '....'

4. See error

5. Login to mh lobby (with rank, i have it so idk if its rank only or not)

6. Set messages to All in ur settings

7. Watch as no one can message you unless you are friends with them

Expected behavior

The setting should actually do something

I can confirm that I also experience this. It is super annoying. Why must I friend someone to message them? I don’t need to be protected or something.
