This is something I discussed with EpicSquid on Discord/voice.
The idea being of a ritual that either permanently or temporarily transforms 1 or more passive creatures into a "fay" variant. I've mostly been looking into Celtic, Breton and Welsh mythology for these ideas. These creatures would likewise be passive, potentially tameable and (through the ritual/a potential "shedding" spell) provide components for further rituals and spells.
Bat -> Fairy: I believe the original Roots Classic has a Fairy model (I could be wrong) or Pixie model. Could grant "pixie dust"/"fairy dust" as a potential ingredient. Would not be tameable nor breedable.
Chicken -> Fae hen: Similar model (perhaps slightly slimmer), with violet, indigo and purple gradient. Would provide a "fae feather". Could potentially drop eggs, and could potentially be bred with wildewheet seeds.
Cow, Mooshroom -> Highland (Fae) Cow similar colours to the hen, provides buttermilk but can also be shorn (with runic shears) for strands that can be woven into yarn or used as an ingredient.
Donkey, Horse, Mule -> The White Stag is ... stereotypical almost. If you befriend it, it may grant you its shed antlers and the velvet that covers them, which could be used as an ingredient. How this would interact with Mystical World deer, I'm not sure.
Llama ->Fae goat. Can be milked to provide goat's milk. Similar gradiated colours as the hen.
Ocelot ->Medium-sized panther with fae markings. Skittish as an ocelot, can be tamed... somehow.
Cat (tamed) -> Catsith, black with one spot. Likes to sit on beds and, if you sleep with one nearby, you will be blessed with "good dreams" (temporary buff upon waking).
Parrot -> Swarm of fairy-bees. If a hive is nearby, will inhabit the hive (for a set amount of time) and produce honey, honeycomb and beeswax. During the day, will increase crop growth. Requires nearby crops, the number of growing (not grown) proportional to the number of extra growth ticks (so it's not OP to just put 2 plants next to it). Otherwise will just buzz off.
~~Rabbit -> The Cabbit has become almost stereotypical, at least in Japenese RPGs from the 90s (mostly Secret of Mana). ~~
Sheep ->
Squid -> Beithir is a type of venomous sea serpent. If befriended and bribed with rotten flesh, it will allow you to harvest some of its poison with a glass bottle.
Villager -> Spriggan are a type of fae entity generally considered mischevious and selfish. They could be named and potentially bribed to act as a glorified Iron Golem, defending your base & area from threat.
Villager (alternate) -> Fomorian, a type of human ancestor according to Irish mythology that were the original inhabitants of Ireland. They could be a peaceful creature that trades identically to normal villagers, but for different currency.
Villager (alternate alternate) -> As above, combined, that you can bribe them to act as guards for you.
Wolf -> Black Dogs are associated with electrical storms, travelling through the planes and crossroads, etc. Whether or not they're "good or evil" really depends on the context. They could provide "tuft of black fur" which could be used as an ingredient involving spells related to electricity and teleportation.
A lot of, if not all of, these could be done as simple reskins to villager models, outside of the Stag (which could just be a modified form of the Deer model from Mystical World), and the serpent.
(I'll update this as I come across more ideas/thoughts)
EDIT: The primary intent of all the liquids is as useful for brew potions.
