CFC uptake

Experiments 042 (zstar N65), 043 (zstar N75), and 044 (hycom1 N75) included CFC_cap tracers.
Here is plot of CFC11 global inventory in these runs, along with an observational estimate from Willey et al. (2004).

The inventories in the two zstar runs are indistinguishable and agree well with the Willey et al. (2004) estimate.
The inventory in the hycom1 run is on the high side, but not outside the estimate's error bars.

The inventory difference between the zstar runs and the hycom1 run is primarily in the Southern Ocean.
