Unregister from events after deadline

Would be nice to have the option to unregister from events after the deadline, given that there are someone on the waiting list. We could do something like send an email to the one on the waiting list, and ask it he/she wants to accept the position. If yes, the person trying to unregister is unregistered, but if not, he/she is not unregistered.
