The JSON format should be redone to follow the json:api specification, and we should consolidate fields with slurm-monitor when possible. This is a good time to do so since there are not currently any users of our JSON format apart from our test cases.

I'm working on a proper spec in a separate document with another collaborator. @bast, I think this will be available to you (in the NRIS gdoc space), at least for commenting. Still very much in flux but the section "Output format" is what we're talking about at the moment.
