• Travel Expense Reimbursement Request from Stu Waldron: “Travel Expense Reimbursement request.
  • Event. Arival 360 https://arival.travel/event/2022-arival-360/
  • Purpose. Arival 360 San Diego is a 4-day event for Tours, Activities, and Attractions Operators but more on the technical side. It’s not huge, I am told about 100 or so will attend. They are looking for help to organize standards as many of their members are struggling with API complexity and cost. Many members are not technical but want to adopt standards that API and web site providers would be expected to follow to bring costs down. The restaurant industry has done something similar already (https://restauranttechnologynetwork.com/page/open_api_framework). My topic for them would be what OpenAPI and OpenTravel does already. What existing organizations are providing which may be partnered with and/or use as a model.
  • Need: Air fare from Orlando to San Diego which current pricing suggests would be $500 or so round trip. OpenTravel is handling the hotel room. The conference fee is comped. May need a little for some meals, no more than $40 per day. Note I am retired and currently helping out both OpenAPI and Opentravel. I have no employer to ask for funding.

• Connection with Leadership hires with Marketing?
  • Phil Sturgeon and Chris Woods are working with Kin. Some overlap with marketing. Need to connect those efforts. Kevin: Reach out for next meeting.
