Add colour gradient to the dots #6

Add some good/bad colours to the dots so they are easier to read, perhaps shades of colours for each SD away from the mean.

I tried this with my final prototype. PHE use a similar categorical colour scheme with their spine charts.

Think this works well when you only have one area selected. Not sure how it would work when you've got more than one?

Maybe just the background of the jitter then, maybe in bands of 1SD, a bit like how the central average region is coloured

Yeah I thought something like that might work... though suspect we'd run into contrast issues? Maybe just either side of the middle band to signify good/bad?

The position rather than the colour of the dots indicates whether they are ‘negative’, ‘neutral’ or ‘positive’.
