I would like to propose a new feature for WebODM that allows users to compute and visualize the volume differences between Digital Surface Models (DSMs) or Digital Terrain Models (DTMs) from different tasks. The feature would generate a color-coded map representing the elevation differences between the two surfaces, making it easier to analyze changes over time, such as earthworks, excavation progress, or material deposition.

Proposed functionality:

  • Select two existing DSM/DTM tasks for comparison.
  • Compute the height differences between the surfaces.
  • Display a color gradient to visually represent elevation changes (e.g., blue for negative values, red for positive values).
  • Calculate total cut-and-fill volume differences.
  • Optionally export the difference model as a raster or GeoTIFF for further analysis.

This functionality would be very useful for construction, mining, and environmental monitoring applications. Would this be feasible to implement in future WebODM versions?

Thanks for considering this request!
