I know right know opennmt supports input data directly from s3
not sure if could be posible to create a docker image to be used with sagemaker

I'm not familiar with the details of SageMaker. Do you know what needs to be done to support it?

I'm marking this as "contribution welcome" as I will probably not work on this myself.

amazon added some the option to add custom tensorflow code to their system and they are also using Estimators, but a custom estimator called SageMakerEstimator from their library. the IT guys asked me for that option but I wasn't unsure so that is why I asked. If I have time in the future I will try to make it compatible and I will tell you
