switchbot/homebridge 1.7

Hi,
Apologies for overstepping any boundaries, but is this the place to ask if you can connect 2 switchbot mini hubs to hoobs using this bridge? If you can, any advice as to how is appreciated.

Background:
I have a 1st switchbot mini hub with 2 bots already connected to hoobs using version 1.7.

Now a 2nd switchbot mini hub is also required to be connected to Hoobs, because of the distance between the 1st hub and a 3rd bot.

This 2nd mini hub and 3rd bot are already connected to the switchbot cloud service and perform correctly using the switchbot mobile app.

If you are using OpenAPI, the hubs don't really matter, the API takes care of communicating to the bridges and then to the devices.

FYI, I don't develop this plugin for HOOBs, so you could experience issues. If you do, I would recommend moving to homebridge.

Hi, thank you for your fast reply. I will set up a second 1.7 software bridge naming the second hub - with an identical switchbot token - and correct BLE deviceid for the 3rd device and see what happens.

you shouldn't have to do a second bridge. use the same one. Or is it on a different account?

Hi, They are on the same account, but the switchbot mini hubs are in two different rooms.

I wanted to clearly identify which bot connected to which switchbot mini hub by also distinguishing them in 'homebridge' via two bridges. I suppose if this is not required, I could rename the first 'homebridge' bridge from 'kitchen switchbot bridge' and give it a more generic name?

I don't see the purpose of two bridges? You will actually be pulling more. I would just keep them on the same bridge.
