Unexpected error 2000 playing songs when logged in #140
Comments
Same problem cant play any song |
same problem but only on certain songs |
Same problem on every song tested so far |
Please let this be the only issue related to this matter |
Same it was working yesterday and I tried to use the app today it doesn't work at all with certain music's playing and skips though unplayable ones |
I hope the innertune dev can learn anything from revanced, would be great |
I also have this issue. It also prevents the download of new songs as well. |
someone please test this and confirm if playback works when both logged in AND logged out. Playback probably no longer works for stuff you have to be logged in for. https://github.com/DD3Boh/OuterTune/actions/runs/12382183410 |
Nah, It happens even after I confirmed I was logged in. |
The issue also affects music that you uploaded to your personal account via MP3 and opus. Just tested it. |
Send link to song |
I'm logged out and it works pretty perfectly. For a temporary fix I would recommend downloading all of your music while logged out and log in to access them from library. |

Weird, it works on my end. Can anyone else confirm?
That is what the current fix (above) is. You are logged in, but songs are played as if you're logged out (which works... for now...) |
The build provided plays the songs again while logged in unless its your uploaded music, which still has error 2000 video private. Hope this helps |
The app is not working. Can't play songs |
I can't play any song. Kindly fix this error

I also get an error when I sync with YouTube music |
So the app wasn't working for me, I couldn't hear absolutely anything, what I did is that I went into the settings and logged out of my account. |
This fixes the issue for me. I can play music while logged in. |
It's working, i can play songs while logged in, history doesn't not synchronize though and local songs aren't working, but, likes, add music to playlists works perfectly. |
Fix for me too |
Worked for me! Logged out and suddenly the music can be played

It worked when logged out but when trying to log back in, it can't play music
|
Somewhat fixed in 0.6.4. Playing content requiring you to login and/or age restricted content is likely to still be an issue |
Thank you so much for the quick hotfix, we really appreciate it. |
Thank you for the hot fix. Hopefully you can get uploaded content and age-restricted current tank working soon but this is a good start to get the app somewhat functioning again. |
Ah yes, suggest to me I should implement the band-aid fix I released a week ago. Another satisfied customer. NEXT! |
Any update on getting the private library feature working again? |
Uploaded music still is broken on latest beta. Being skipped with error 2000, video is set to private. |
Same issue, tho using 0.6.3. doesn't play any online songs, signed in into yt music. |
Uploaded music still not working 😞 |
Tested in 0.7.0 and still present |
Can't confirm any music that is not already downloaded pre the issue gives error 2000 this video is private. I think, but I'm not 100% sure without testing the old player that was broken for stream content still worked for logged in content, so perhaps it's possible to use that playback stack only for uploaded content instead of the new pipe method? |
@Hikari2w2 @mattcarter11 @14142000 see my comment on InnerTune about private songs: Same applies to OuterTune. Free accounts now require a po token for all privately uploaded songs. Currently it is unknown if apps like OuterTune will ever be able to generate po tokens. This means maybe the private uploads playback will stay broken forever. My suggestion: |
@gechoto haven't check the code but this comment claims to have fixed it? z-huang/InnerTune#1748 (comment) |
@mattcarter11 In the comment you linked I can't find any claim about private songs playback. Not sure what you are referring to. |
@gechoto nothing, sorry, I though the comment was referring to another part of the thread. |
Hello living entities. Today I present you with something to do. I did some work on porting po token stuff from NewPipe and this is where it is at: To get this working with your account you need to open the login webview again once and wait until the page fully loaded so it can extract your dataSyncId. If everything works correctly this might make privately uploaded songs work again. HOWEVER: |
Sr, that sounds promising, where can i download your release, im kinda dummy at this stuff |
I hope this actually works because the upload feature is super useful due to the fickle nature of music licensing and how it can just disappear at a moment's notice. There was a few songs that I even only was able to keep because I had it cached on my phone and I was able to screen record it when there was no alternative download or place to buy it. |
there is no release yet but you can test with this debug version: remember to open the login webview again once after installation and wait until the page fully loaded
but don't put your trust in it btw the upload feature does reencode your songs which means it degrades their quality if you want to keep access to your songs and keep the best quality or do whatever you want
If you can still access these songs with your browser when logged in you could use yt-dlp to download them. |
thank you sr, I've tested your release out, it didn't work on me unfortunately, i logged in and then opened the WebView page again, waited for like 5 minutes and closed the WebView page, then i tried playing a private song but it didn't play at all, getting the This video is private or sth like that. maybe I'm doing sth wrong |
@Hikari2w2 can you test again with this new version: |
I've tested your release out, private songs are indeed playing again, what a great feat Sr , I'm pretty aware yt might break it again soon, but, thank you very much for making this possible again. |
This works for me, thank you for figuring this out. I have not been able to update my phone because it would force me to wipe making me lose all my downloaded music. Sure I could request the files from google but for as long as talented developers remain rebellious and find workarounds I want to be part of that rebellion. They kicked me off of my own family account for sharing it with family members that live in a different house than me, |
Also just a heads up, if you make the login redirect to the YouTube music login page it fixes accounts with brand accounts that have the main account hosting the music. I do so by visiting the help page and searching "upload music" to get a redirect to youtube music in the browser which instantly grabs my tokens. Other forks of inner tune already do this like Metrolist. |
Please test with the latest release: After installation you have to open the login page / webview again and let the page fully load. After that... |
No playback issues, just the bugged limit of songs that can be loaded in a playlist including the liked playlist |
Cool. Should be in a good state for now.
This is unrelated and already tracked in a separate issue. |
I've just started having this happen in the last few days, and it's giving me an additional message "sign in to confirm you're not a bot". I've tried logging out and logging back in, letting the login page fully load as noted above, but that doesn't seem to work, nor does clearing the cache and repeating the process, nor fully uninstalling and reinstalling before doing the same. I'm using 0.7.3 on a galaxy s24 ultra. |
Issue returned on 7.5, unable to play general content. Error 2000. Oddly only when logged out. |
Update
This issue is somewhat fixed in 0.6.4. Please note that this uses the "logged out" method of song playback for ALL song playback, and as a result, content that you need to be logged in for (and possibly age-restricted content) would be inaccessible.
A full/proper fix is to be released in the future
